Enhanced Uplink Quantum Communication With Satellites via Downlink Channels

In developing the global Quantum Internet, quantum communication with low-Earth-orbit satellites will play a pivotal role. Such need to be two way: effective not only in satellite-to-ground (downlink) channel but also ground-to-satellite (uplink). Given that losses on this latter are significantly larger relative former, techniques can exploit superior downlink enhance uplink should explored. work we do just - exploring how continuous variable entanglement form of two-mode squeezed vacuum (TMSV) states used fidelity quantum-state transfer direct uplink-transfer. More specifically, through detailed phase-screen simulations beam evolution turbulent atmospheres both and channels, demonstrate TMSV teleportation created by satellite dramatically improve coherent-state transfer. We then show this, turn, leads uplink-transmission higher alphabet coherent states. Additionally, non-Gaussian operations acting received component state at ground station lead even further enhancement. Since readily produced situ platform reliable for most states, our suggests future forming part emerging Internet designed uplink-communication via mind.
